A’TIN Never Forgets: Fandom Returns The Kindness Of The Juans

SB19 has become a global icon for P-pop and has been dubbed “The Kings of P-pop.” Their work ethic, drive, determination, and sticking to their core values have always been met with positive acclaim wherever they go. With their fans rallying wherever they go, it is no wonder they have achieved such global status, but little did anyone know, back when they first debuted, no one would ever think they’d reach levels of superstardom: Enter The Juans.

The Juans, and their KwentoJuan series became a turning point where SB19 was able to tell the story behind the sweat. Years later, A’TIN are paying that kindness forward in the ways fans do best: cheering, sharing, and supporting. This is a story about gratitude, and how a small act can echo through years and across stages.

TM collaboration and the beginning of a brotherhood

Before they ever sat down for heartfelt conversations on YouTube, SB19 and The Juans first crossed paths as collaborators for TM FunPasko, a 2020 campaign under TM, Globe’s youth-oriented brand. The project featured both groups in cheerful performances that highlighted the Filipino spirit of perseverance and joy. For fans of both groups, the collaboration was more than simply a fun little endorsement for a cellular provider, but symbolized a turning point where two rising acts came together to celebrate fun, family, and Filipino pride.

One band was well known for their polished P-pop sound while the other was known for their heartfelt band anthems. Two bands coming together to create something in the spirit of the season. Their chemistry was undeniable as SB19 and The Juans shared an energy that resonated with the message of TM’s campaign: staying positive, grounded, and connected to one’s roots. It was during this time that both groups began to publicly express admiration for one another’s artistry and discipline, planting the seeds for what would later become a beautiful friendship.

KwentoJuan: Conversations Beyond Music

Not long after their collaboration, The Juans invited SB19 to appear on their YouTube show, KwentoJuan. The series, known for spotlighting stories of hard work and faith in the entertainment industry, gave fans a rare and intimate glimpse into SB19’s journey.

During their April 2021 episodes, titled “The Struggle in the Hustle” and “The Trophy Made of Trials,” the members opened up about their humble beginnings, the challenges of training, and the moments that tested their resolve. The Juans, being artists who had walked a similar path of struggle, listened with empathy and admiration.

What made the exchange touching was how natural it felt, as if it were two groups of friends simply having a conversation with one another. There didn’t need to have any heat amongst members or any petty rivalries. Only mutual respect between two groups who understood what it means to build something from the ground up.

They shared their laughter, reflections, and of course their playful banter with one another as it reminds the fans that they are still peers in the industry and there is no need for competition. This encounter deepened the emotional connection between both fandoms, as A’TIN began to recognize The Juans not just as fellow artists but as genuine friends who stood by SB19 during their climb.

Fast forward to 2025, and that kindness has come full circle. As The Juans prepared for their upcoming concerts, A’TIN noticed the band’s efforts and decided to return the favor. Across social media, A’TIN have been encouraging others to support The Juans’ shows by sharing ticket links, amplifying promo posts, and even attending their busking sessions.

It was the fans’ way of showing gratitude for all those times that the band has been so good to their boys..A’TIN remembered how The Juans had once given SB19 a platform, helping them share their story before the rest of the world caught on.

Many A’TIN described it as “bayad-kabaitan” as they repaid kindness with kindness. The phrase perfectly captures the spirit of the fandom: compassionate, loyal, and guided by the values the boys have always lived by.

A’TIN’s efforts didn’t go unnoticed as both The Juans and their fans, the Juanistas, expressed deep appreciation online, noting how A’TIN’s gesture reinforced what the local music scene stands for. This moment also reflects the strength of the Filipino fandom culture when it chooses love and respect over rivalry and competition.

Closing thoughts

The collaboration of SB19 and The Juans proves that it is not always about simply sharing stages or performing together, but the act of friendship between groups, the humility and perseverance that inspires compassion that extends beyond music. It shows how people will gladly repay the kindness of one another without even asking for it.

By helping The Juans, A’TIN reminded everyone that fandoms can be communities of kindness. They don’t just uplift their mahalima, but also embody their values that the group has always fostered. It’s the kind of full-circle story that perfectly defines the heart of Filipino music, one where gratitude never fades, and every good deed finds its way home.
